In working with 55+ clients, she identified that there were many needs beyond housing that should be included with the team. Alonso Zamora,

Alonso is one of three founding partners of the thriving super-thrift store B-Thrifty in Manassas, as well as a clothing and shoes recycling system called Project B-Green. In recent years, Alonso has worked with his son to build White Glove Solution Construction and Moving Company and is now partnering with Building Bridges Partners Real Estate to offer “full circle” transition services for seniors.

Alonso’s passion for serving seniors stems from his deep family values and a true desire to serve older clients with the dignity and grace they deserve. Alonso help seniors maximize the return on their investment, reduce their belongings, and move to their new home with as little stress as possible.

Delores Athey, Director of Strategic Partnerships with Capital City Nurses, is a Healthcare professional with a true heart for advocacy. Prior to entering the field of Senior Services, Delores spent 19 years working in a youth advocacy role assisting underserved communities bridge the gap between home and school.  After personal family struggles with dementia, she was drawn to helping others dealing with similar elder care challenges.

Her passion is to truly educate her clients on resources, services and strategies to manage and overcome struggles in caregiving, which she has put into motion over several years as she has counseled countless families in the fields of home care and senior living. Delores runs the Continuum of Care program for Capital City Nurses covering Virginia, Maryland, DC and Delaware.

Brad Clearfield,

Brad Clearfield, Director of Marketing for Healing Home Healthcare,  spends his days working to serve the skilled needs of patients throughout Northern Virginia with skilled nursing, therapies and infusion services offered by Healing Home Healthcare.  He has come across many families needing assistance with the removal of used equipment, with a new diagnosis or crisis, requiring immediate assistance.  He has spent the past several years collecting Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to help.  The donated equipment has been picked up, serviced, stored, and repurposed to those uninsured or not covered.  He quickly outgrew his garage, moving onto a 10x20 storage unit.  He has delivered over 1000 pieces of equipment on his own, helping countless families in the process.

The goal of our non-profit entity is "do more good".  Brad's leadership will help grow that mentality within the communities we serve.  As he combines his efforts with Planning for Senior Life Non-profit, he fulfills his passion to continue to serve older adults.  Working with hospitals, senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities and community partners, he will continue to grow and serve those in need in partnership with PSL. Brad's relationships with the community and reputation of always "lending a hand" will take our the non-profit efforts across Virginia, Maryland & DC.
